Hi Rikki, Only issue will be getting the gas line up there. basically you have a separate Zone valve for the pond heat exchanger from the boiler, one zone valve controls the hot water to the radiators one feeds the pond heat exchanger. The pond is on a thermostat that opens things up when there is a...

As a DIY task it can be a nightmare.. On paper it sounds easy but there's a lot that can go wrong. There are lots of glassers out there, not that many full time, my recommendation would always be to give Matt at GRPLining a call, I know he's real busy and is booked out till January; but think that k...

Rather than pulping anything that comes through the skimmer into finer bits by drawing through with a pump wouldn't a 4" gravity feed be more effective?

Have you a 2" outlet from your skimmer Gaz? Put a pinch point in by way of a 1.5" restriction and the water will form a vortex.
One of mine I have bored out to 2" and solved things, other is a job still to do.

You asked about the 1.5 outlet on some of the skimmers, my experience is that if you run of pipe is 2" then you get a vortex starting up in the skimmer due to the restriction and at decent flow rates you can gulp air down the pipe. Not sure that I would agree to go for a wide mouth skimmer, I w...
