Well I would like to say a thanks to Mushio for the time and effort he has put in on this. This personally will not effect me visiting the show as im there to see the Koi in the centre ring and to meet Koi Keepers from far and wide all in the spirit of Koi Keeping.

Again thanks for your efforst Mr Mush, roll on the National I say.

Graham

Obviously not an ideal outcome for the BKKS or the dealers, but will it actually stop you going to the National?

IMO, I can't think of a worse environment to try to buy a koi, so it won't really disappoint me too much - but I appreciate others may feel differently.

Lots of people complained about the National show over the last couple of years and said it needed to change. Well, it has! New venue, new show committee and new enthusiasm - so let's not knock it before we've tried it and give Mushio and Co our full support.

 There were no koi for sale at the EMKC show, and I didn't hear many complaints about that!

Cheers

Bob

I agree Bob, get behind the new show committee and work force for what will be a awesome event.

If the All Japan Show can have no wet dealers then it will be a breeze for us !

hi graham

that is not true there is wet dealers as such as there is a dream koi section what koi are for sale and can be collected at the end of the show . so there is wet dealers at the all japan .

i can not see why a dealer can take his koi to the show still but can not sell them there ?? if the dealer has a pet shop licence then why not let them sell koi ????

i really dont think this outcome will do the show any good ? as so many go to a show for some deals and that includes deals on koi .

Hi Darren

I agree that the decision seems an absolute nonsense, but it wasn't made by anyone responsible for putting on the show. It's not the decision the show committee or BKKS in general would have wanted and I'm sure they've fought long and hard to get a better outcome. Unfortunately, it appears they couldn't convince some non-thinking jobs worth, but that's no reason why we shouldn't still have a great show. Let's just support the show team and make it as successful as it can be!

 Maybe the answer is to swamp Staffordshire CC with letters requesting an explanation of why THEY have refused to issue a license to cover the sale of koi at the show and asking them to review their decision! If nothing else, it might show that koi keepers are responsible people who will stick together for their cause!

Cheers

Bob

maybe dealers are not allowed to sell fish without a permit .... but what would be wrong with selling a bag full of water , and giving away a free fish ?

Yo Guys
Thanks for your words of support.
I knew people on this forum would understand what is happening in the hobby.
I have tried so hard to get koi sales at the 'Nat' Yes the show will miss these dealers, but it cant be written off.
The show is about koi and firstly about the exhibitors koi. Without 'us guys' bringing along our koi then the show doesnt even get off the ground.
We need support from the manufacturers who generously sponsor the event.
Then we would like the dealers and people who just love this hobby to come along.
It was taken out of our hands regarding the sale of koi at the show. Governing bodies are tightening up on everything, and some koi shows are becoming the casulties of this.
The 'New National' will try and overcome this.

We tried out new things last week at the winter show. I didnt hear of any complaints.
Some of the new ideas were being tested for the Nat.
Just give it a chance guys.
Once again
Thanks for this forums support !!

See ya in June

Just let us know Mushio when you need those vats sponsorship in and anything else KOIKeepers can assist in.

Hope to see you at the AGM Mushio.

Regards
Graham
